To secure this power to be used in the right way needs great stewardship that is grounded in a solid moral foundation. We call this 'Radical Integrity', pointing at a level of integrity that is beyond any possibility to be corrupted.

As the first company in history to have cracked the code of human knowledge acquisition and understanding, we understand what this 'radical integrity' entails. Because of that, we also know what it means to be the stewards of this technology. We don't take this at face value, and have proudly accepted this task.

Over a decade ago, our founder Hans Peter Willems set out to achieve what everyone deemed impossible. Now, the company that represents his technology, works with the same ambition to advance science and technology for all of humanity.

We are eager to explore what the future will bring to us, and we want to take you and the rest of the world with us on that journey.

Hans Peter Willems was born near Amsterdam, The Netherlands as one of the last of the baby-boomer generation. At a young age he started building databases with index cards, as Personal Computers where several years away into the future. It was already obvious that Information Technology was going to play a big role in his life.

By the age of twelve, his math teacher decided that the course material at that age was 'not challenging enough' for Hans Peter and started him on High School level math right away. This meant passing over 4 years of conventional math education. His math teacher also coached Hans Peter to learn to cope with a much bigger than average mental capacity.

At the age of 17, he got his hands on his first computer and immediately began studying Software Engineering and several programming languages. So far, Hans Peter has programmed applications in more than 20 programming languages, in total spanning way over 2 million lines of written code.

Hans Peter has always been interested in building some form of intelligence into software. This firstly resulted in the development of his code generator, capable of generating completely usable applications from a basic data model. This tool would play a big role in the next phase of developing intelligent software. Eventually, putting his human intelligence into software was not enough, and he started research and development of a real Artificial General Intelligence system.

When he started the ASTRID project, most people called it 'ambitious', a clear euphemism for 'completely crazy'. After a little more than a decade, we now know that his ambition was not unfounded, as the ASTRID system performs exactly, and in certain aspects even better, as foreseen by Hans Peter. People who know him by heart, know that his ambitions are huge but seldom unfounded.

Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Founded and incorporated in The Netherlands, MIND|CONSTRUCT is now moving to Global presence. To be able to support scientific and technological partnerships with the relevant players in the Robotics and Autonomous Applications domains, we need to be in proximity to our current and future partners. As the saying goes: “The three most important things for a business are … location, location, location”.

Over the coming year we aim to open subsidiaries in key locations in Europe, United States of America and Asia. We are working hard to secure funding for this important expansion and welcome any business inquiries that might boost our global reach.
